Jesus invites us to participate in his kingdom as disciples. As Lord, he could command that we obey; as king, he could demand that we follow. But instead he simply extends an invitation that we “Come and see!” He’s convinced that if we will just give it a try, we’ll find that his way can indeed lead us to life.
