When God declares in Rev. 21:5 that he is making all things new, it doesn’t come as a surprise to those who know him. That’s what he does! He has always been in the habit of making things new. In fact, it seems as if Scripture tells the overarching story of how in spite of humanity’s fall, he has been at work since then to bring about renewal and restoration. He makes all things new! And if this is his story, then we pick up our cues from him and speak his renewal and blessing into the world around us.
