It’s not the dress or the flowers or the cake that make a wedding but the vows that are shared. A wedding signifies that a promise is made, a pledge is given. In the same way, when Jesus invites us to follow him as his disciples, we commit to growing and maturing as we walk with him. Today, we consider the promises we’re making as a congregation when we say the words “I Do!”
