Ministers

Aaron Walling

As the son of a preacher, I have roots in many places. While I was born in San Antonio, I spent most of my elementary years in East Texas. I was baptized by my dad in Palestine, Texas. Then in junior high, we moved to Iowa where I graduated high school. Every summer, teens from across the state would meet at Midwest Bible Camp, and it was there that I met my wife, Carolyn. We lived in York, Nebraska, for a couple of years, attending York College, and then we moved to Lubbock, Texas. I graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a B.A. in Bible in 1996.

After graduation, we moved to Springfield, Missouri, to work with the East Grand Church of Christ, where we stayed for almost eleven years. During that time I transitioned from youth ministry to community outreach to preaching. When we moved to Springfield, Carolyn was six months pregnant with our first daughter, Laura. Over the subsequent years, we had two more children—Andrew and Taylor. Also, while in Springfield, I had the opportunity to earn my Masters of Divinity at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and since then, I have completed my Doctor of Ministry at Abilene Christian University. We have been blessed to be a part of Cinco Ranch since March of 2007.

David Dotson

David joined the staff at CRCOC in 2002 as the congregation’s first full time children’s minster. He transitioned to Minster to Youth and Families in 2004. He became a Christian in high school when he was introduced to Jesus by high school friends in the Woodlands where he grew up. He began full time ministry to youth in 1991 in Corsicana, Texas after completing a bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M. He went on to earn a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. David loves staying connected to young people and watching their love for Jesus grow through mission work and ministry. He also has a passion for helping couples grow their marriage and he and his wife Lezli are facilitators for Dynamic Marriage, an 8-week marriage enrichment course. David and Lezli have been married for 21 years and have four children, Luke, Cole, Todd and Hope.

Phil Pettey

Phil grew up in Arkansas and attended Harding University, where he majored in Bible and Biblical Languages. He has been happily married to his wife, Missy, since 1981. They have two grown daughters and two grandchildren. Phil came to the Cinco Ranch Church in 1996 from the Memorial Church of Christ in Houston, where he spent 13 years as Youth Minister and Associate Minister. When he first came to the CRCOC, he served as the Preaching Minister for ten years and now serves as the Body Life Minister, where his role involves watching over Life Groups, leading worship, teaching Bible classes and helping members find places where they can serve in the body. Phil enjoys sports, playing the guitar, reading, watching movies with Missy, and playing with his grandsons. He has also worked for the last few years with Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center, performing with their community theater group, Encore Players, and working with KVPAC’s Books Alive! program as a writer and composer, taking children’s books and turning them into musicals for children.

Aubree Robinson

Aubree joined the Cinco Ranch staff in 2007 as the Children’s Minister. Her family became members at Cinco in 1999 when Aubree was a Freshman in High School and her family had just moved to the Katy area. During college Aubree interned for both the Children’s Ministry and Youth Ministry at Cinco Ranch. She has a desire to see all children learn that God loves them and will always be there for them. Aubree graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Doug Robinson, one of the  Youth Ministers at Cinco Ranch and they have a son, Josiah.

Doug Robinson

I joined the CRCOC staff in January of 2010 as the Associate Youth Minister and started working with David full time as a Youth Minister in January 2011. After graduating High School, where I met my wife Aubree, I went to the Art Institute of Houston and graduated with an Associates Degree in Interactive Media and Design and just recently graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. My hope for the Youth at Cinco Ranch Church is that they would Know, Love and Worship God in a way that has a radical impact on His Kingdom. When I am not working with the youth, I am working on Video and Graphic Projects for Cinco Ranch. Aubree, who is the children’s minister here, and I have one son named Josiah who is 3.
